In partnership with the PLAY Boulder Foundation, Boulderthon is providing valuable resources to Tom Watson Park

PLAY Boulder is excited to partner with Boulderthon as part of our efforts to support healthy, active, and connected communities. Through this partnership, Boulderthon will contribute $50,000 to resurface the park’s parking lot, add a water fountain and enhance the grounds and landscaping. Boulderthon has also created an extra incentive for locals to get involved in the community project by pledging to match every community dollar donated up to an additional $50,000. The campaign will run through Dec. 31, with locals having until the final day of the campaign to make their donations towards the Tom Watson Park revitalization.

The sixth annual Boulderthon returns on Sept. 27, and is expecting another record-breaking participation year. The 2025 race drew over 15,600 runners from across the nation and the world took to Boulder’s streets for Colorado’s premier fall racing event. Boulderthon offers a distance for everyone, featuring a marathon, half marathon, 10K, 5K and Kids Run. For those interested in taking part in the 2026 event, registration and volunteer opportunities are currently open.
