Katie Crane (she/her)
Board Member
Katie Crane is an 18-year resident of Boulder with a background in journalism and environmental policy. She spent the first part of her career working in Washington, D.C., on environmental policy issues on Capitol Hill and for business trade associations. She subsequently has been engaged in freelance writing (both fiction and non-fiction) as well as volunteer teaching stints in China and Vietnam.
Katie currently serves on Boulder’s Board of Zoning Adjustment, a city advisory board that considers variances to the city’s residential zoning regulations. Her education includes a bachelor’s degree from the College of William and Mary and master’s degrees from the University of Michigan and Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism.
Katie's interest in serving on the PLAY Boulder Board stems from her support of the our focus on enhancing the city's public spaces, expanding access to recreation programs throughout Boulder, and preserving the beauty that defines our community.
