Congratulations to the Youth Services Initiative for being awarded a $25,000 grant from the Colorado Health Foundation. This funding will support the training and implementation of the SPARK curriculum. SPARK strives to improve the health of children, adolescents, and adults by disseminating evidence-based programs to recreation leaders serving Pre-K through 12th grade students. Throughout 2017, Parks and Recreation staff will become certified SPARK facilitators, enabling them to bring researched based tools to support a healthy community.
We look forward to sharing the results of the program in the coming months.
